Proxima combines Powder Metallurgy and Hot Isostatic Processing (PM-HIP) to manufacture high-integrity components.
Complex shapes, a single piece construction, can be created in a matter of weeks, delivering a reduction in cost, resources, and timelines.
The capsule is filled with metallic powder whilst being vibrated.
Our state-of-the art evacuation system removes any air and moisture prior to HIP.
Heating, crimping and welding is used to seal the ports, ensuring a high vacuum is maintained and a gas tight environment created.
The Hot Isostatic Pressing process maximises the material’s performance, eliminating porosity and improving density and fatigue resistance.
The capsule is removed from the preform. Once removed the preform is ready for CNC machining and non-destructive testing (NDT).
We work in highly regulated sectors where lot traceable, certified high-integrity materials are essential under our AS9100D approval.
