By using our innovative, proven process, we shorten lead-times, reduce costs and enhance material performance compared to traditional castings or forgings.

Complex shapes, a single piece construction, can be created in a matter of weeks, delivering a reduction in cost, resources, and timelines.

Powder filling & vibration

The capsule is filled with metallic powder whilst being vibrated.

Degassing

Our state-of-the art evacuation system removes any air and moisture prior to HIP.

Sealing/crimping

Heating, crimping and welding is used to seal the ports, ensuring a high vacuum is maintained and a gas tight environment created.

Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP)

The Hot Isostatic Pressing process maximises the material’s performance, eliminating porosity and improving density and fatigue resistance.

Post-HIP processing

The capsule is removed from the preform. Once removed the preform is ready for CNC machining and non-destructive testing (NDT).
